Twelve Parsecs are a young, dynamic trio that have been making waves over the last three years. Fuelled by their passion for rock classics, they first burst onto the scene in 2021 as a brother and sister duo with electrifying covers, quickly gaining viral acclaim, most notably for their rendition of Led Zeppelin’s "Black Dog."
With the addition of a bassist their live performances have evolved into a rich, full sound.
Appearing on a multitude of prominent stages across Perth, including RAC Arena, Mojo’s, High Voltage, Rosemount Hotel, Freo Social, Leopold Hotel, and the State Theatre of WA, their shows deliver high energy, complete with exhilarating riffs and a captivating stage presence that will leave you wanting more.
Drawing inspiration from iconic bands including the likes of Silverchair, Foo Fighters and Led Zeppelin, their original compositions are infused with liveliness and a unique sound. Having released two original songs in 2023, Twelve Parsecs are now setting their sights on a new horizon: their debut studio album, which they are hoping to record later this year.
With more ambition and a lot more rock energy, they are ready to take the next big step in their musical journey. The album features 11 original songs that range from alternative to hard rock. Along with their first two singles, “Off My Shoulders” and “Ghost Hug,” the album also includes crowd favourite “Sharp” and their recent WAM Song of the Year Award winning track, “The Only Thing (That Matters)".
