Fuelled by a passion for rock classics, Twelve Parsecs burst onto the scene in 2021 as a brother-and-sister duo with electrifying covers, gaining viral acclaim—most notably for their rendition of Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog.”
Now a powerhouse trio, their original compositions have taken on a vibrant identity, blending influences from iconic bands including Silverchair, Crowded House, Foo Fighters, and Led Zeppelin. Their sound balances powerful vocals with searing guitar riffs and a commanding rhythm section, delivering music that is both timeless and unmistakably their own.
After releasing two original tracks in 2023, the band won their category at the 2024 WAM Song of the Year Awards for their track “The Only Thing (That Matters),” cementing their status as emerging artists to watch.
With even more ambition and a lot more rock energy, Twelve Parsecs are gearing up for the next big leap in their musical journey. After releasing their first EP in February 2025, a debut studio album is next on the horizon.
