Formed on Australia’s Sunshine Coast in 2023, CHUCHO VS STØNEWÅX is a boundary-pushing music collaboration between Argentine composer-producer Chucho Bruno and Australian experimental producer-engineer STØNEWÅX. The duo met at Yama-Nui Recording Studio, where they fused their talents to develop a distinctive sound rooted in psychedelic jazz, cosmic textures, and sticky vocal hooks.
Chucho brings his versatility on bass, keys, synths, guitar, and vocals, while STØNEWÅX adds drums, guitar, vocals, and percussion, blending their skills into a fully self-produced, immersive sonic identity. STØNEWÅX also leads the technical production and engineering aspects.
Their music is a collaborative effort in every sense—written, composed, performed, and produced by the pair. Live shows often feature international guest artists, creating expansive, ever-evolving performances that push the boundaries of genre and sound.
