Maddy Petch is an Indie Pop singer-songwriter who's storytelling explores the transparency of human truths and life as we know it with a brazen voice, broad chords and rainbow melodies. With figures such as Madison Cunningham, Angie McMahon and Middle Kids being the soundtrack of her youth, she creates a passion born fusion between indie-pop and folk-rock.
Working with some of Australia's finest, opening for artists like Cub Sport and Didirri, Petch quickly found her pocket in the Australian Indie scene to pair with her international connections.
In 2019, Petch was crowned a recipient of the Popakademie Songwriters Scholarship Program, taking place in Mannheim, Germany. After signing her work there with SONY, an impromptu year-long hiatus in London followed suit, sparking a newfound philosophy on life that is heard in her anecdotal lyrics today.
Petch later recruited her band, consisting of; Matilda Hassall (Backing Vocals and Percussion), Will Conway (Bass, Keys and Backing Vocals), Sean Hutton (Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals) and Miguel Hutton (Drums), to share these emotionally interrogative anthems with her audience.
Hoping to spend life experiencing, learning and creating in any and all ways possible, Petch casts a line out to those willing to brave the loud and the quiet moments with her.
