Rory Phillips has been electrifying audiences for years, blazing his way through solo shows and band stages alike as a talented singer/songwriter and guitar dynamo. At just 19, he’s already an officially endorsed artist for Achillies Amps, Cole Clark, and Buzz Box Guitars. A genre-bending talent, Rory snagged the 2023 NSW Folk Federation Young Folk Artist of the Year award, became the youngest-ever member of iconic Aussie band The Bushwackers, and regularly tours on guitars/BVs for ARIA-winner Sara Storer. He’s also served as the Musician in Residence at the CMAA Academy of Country Music, with over a decade of festival stages under his belt.
But Rory’s heart beats to the blues. Now fronting The Rory Phillips Trio, his powerhouse blues cover band, Rory’s turning heads with scorching guitar riffs and vocals that hit straight to the soul. The trio, featuring the unstoppable James Palmer on bass and Jordan Ironside (or Clayton Denson) on drums, recently tore up the 2025 Echuca-Moama Winter Blues Festival, the 2025 Wangaratta Festival of Jazz & Blues, and the 2026 Blues, Brews & BBQs festival.
