Col Finley Timeline, Highlights and Achievements
1989 – Joins The Royal Australian Airforce as a Police Dog Handler

    • 1992 – Performs his first promoted show at Tamworth CMF @ The Courthouse Hotel for Fred & Anne Thompson

    • 1993 – Discharges From The Royal Australian Air Force to pursue his full-time music career

    • 1994 – Get a Part in the Australian iconic Movie “Dad & Dave On Our Selection” working alongside some Australia great Actors including Leo Mc kern, Dame Joan Sullivan, Ray Barret, Jeffery Rush, Barry and Maranda Otto, Noah Taylor,

    • 1994 – Starts touring with his 1st full-time band “No Boundary’s” covering 60% of the east coast in the first 6 months

    • 1995 – Has toured 50% of the Nation and is rated one of the hardest-working bands in the industry

    • 1998 – Releases debut Commercial Album “Before The Storm” which will be the start of his writing & recording career Album features Hit Songs “Idol” “Paradise” and “Devils Ride” from the Australian box office Hit Movie "Wolf Creek"

    • 2000 – Releases 2nd Commercial Album “My Life” gaining massive reviews across the nation and overseas including USA, Canada and Europe

    • 2000 – Wins Australian Songwriters Awards (ASA) Country Song of the Year with the song “My Life”

    • 2001 – Tiara Award winner for Independent Male Vocal of the Year

    • 2001 – Awarded BMI Nashville Songwriters award for “Gift-wrapped In A Child”

    • 2002 – Performs for the 1st time in Texas USA at Fort Worth, Galveston and Lucanbach

    • 2003 – 2nd Tour of the USA and first Fan Based Tour performing at St Louis, Memphis, New Orleans, and Nashville

    • 2004 – Selected To perform as part of the 2004 Olympic Torch Relay performing to over 30,000 people

    • 2004 – 3rd USA Tour and Fan Base 14-day tour and performing to an incredible crowd at the Famous BB King St Louis, and Jimmy Buffet Bar New Orleans

    • 2004 – Record 3rd Commercial Album “Only The Truth” Featuring Hit Songs “My Place” and “Mexican Lady”

    • 2005 – 4th USA Tour and Base Tour repeating his performances at St Louis, New Orleans, and Nashville

    • 2005 – Gain 2 number #1 songs on the Country Music Channel top 20 charts with “My Place” and “Mexican Lady”

    • 2008 – hit #4 on the ARIA Pop Charts first Australian Male Artist In Country Music to gain this spot also hit #1 on the Australian Indy Charts with the song “Get Your Country On”

    • 2010 – Releases 4th Commercial Album “Paradise” which features several chart-topping songs “Paradise” “Don’t Come Over”

    • 2013 – Has now performed over 90% of the nation and has had 5 successful USA Tours

    • 2015 – Releases 1st Band Album and album #5 “A Little Bit Outlaw” featuring “She Country” and iconic Songs "Jacaranda Tree" and “Rich With Friends”

    • 2015 – Performs to over 15,000 Country fans at the 1st CMC Rocks at Willowbank Queensland

    • 2016 – Performs the Biggest Outback Fest “Big Red Bash” with some Australia legendary Band Including the Angels, Russel Morris, and Jimmy Barnes

    • 2016 – Releases Single “Above Blue” to raise awareness about the struggle an issue with Mental Health helps raise over $36,000 for Beyond Blue

    • 2017 – Gains the 2nd Performance at CMC Rocks now rated the Largest Country Festival in the southern hemisphere 

    • 2018 – Achieves 25years as an independent singer Songwriter and gain the position as one of Australia's longest-standing Indy artists in Country Music

    • 2018 – Records his 6th Album “The Collective” a 25 track Double CD to celebrate his 25 years as a Writer, Singer, and entertainer

    • 2018 – Releases 1st single of the “Collective” “Coffee Goes Cold” gain chart and radio success across the country plus goes viral on Social Media gain over 29,000 views and reaches over 85,0000 people in less than a month

    • 2018 – Has performed 25 years at every major venue including the legendary Tamworth Workers Club, Rooty Hill RSL, Seagull Tweed Heads, Gold Coast Casino, Canberra Theatre 

    • 2019 – Performs as part of the Gympie Muster Program including and spot on Saturday's Main stage and sharing it with his
    • family performing a song with both his kids and his wife and Co songwriter Nellie Finley

    • 2020 – Covid forces Col to create an online webcast show Called “Housebound” a talkback show featuring artists, Music Producers and fellow industries from the USA, UK, and Australia the show was about creating awareness and the hardship of his fellow industry people and ran for over 20 episodes

    • 2021 Releases Single “Legends Of The Highlands” a song about our snowy MT and a long forgetting history of select graziers

    • 2021 – Records “From The Ashes” a song co-written with award-winning songwriter Matt Scullion

    • 2021 – Releases Single “Working ON The Land” a song written for our farmers and their families about the hardship faced by everyday living and working on the land

    • 2021 – Performs at Pig Fest and Back to Basic Music Festivals some of the first events to start back after covid demolished live entertainment 

    • 2021 – headline one of Nth Qld Largest Festival “Savannah In The Round”

    • 2021 – Re-Released “Above The Blue” a song about mental health and Col's ways of living and dealing with it

    • 2022 – Col Finley's 30th Tamworth CM Festival Appearance and still drawing a big crowd that just rave about his high-energy live performance and being in the process of working on several new projects

New Orleans, Grahame, Texas. He has performed at nearly every major festival
and profile venue in our nation. Col Finley's shows have consistently been rated
