Emma has cemented her reputation as a truly impressive artist and has managed to stomp all over the conventions of the “singer songwriter” genre.

Performing and writing for over twenty years, her musical journey has been hard-wired to continually test the waters, trying new sounds and creating music in new ways.

Her first single “People Get Ready” taken from her sophomore record is a fantastic return for the Brisbane garage–folk songstress, a striking song about dealing with the heavy stuff life dishes out.

In solo or duo mode Emma's voice drips soul. And when backed by her stellar long-time band, things hit another gear altogether. Powerful, edgy, dynamic –Emma prowls the stage like a force of nature. Subtle one minute, taking the roof off the next. It really is something to see.

Beyond her solo work, Emma can be heard on "Rain on the Mountain", a song which holds standing on Paddy McHugh's album "Trials and Cape Tribulations", out through Arrest Records. Emma's songs have been fortunate enough to have appeared on the Brisbane television series Slide, and the 2014 feature film, Predestination. She is also part of the "Soldier's Wife" project presented by Sugar Rush Records. Emma also finds herself most at home when giving back, she is now in the third year of curating her successful project "The Wild Mountains" - A songwriter's retreat which aims to aid writers in truly ridding themselves of worldly distractions, being alone with their thoughts so that they can create the purest art and truest music.

She’s not short of a nomination or two either, ‘Penny’, from album number one was nominated as Best Blues/ Roots track of the year at the Queensland Music Awards in 2015. The record itself was ‘Feature Album’ on 612ABC Brisbane, scored ongoing airplay around the country, and “Oh My Love”,  a song she wrote and recorded as part of The Soldiers Wife project was recognized as a finalist in the 2017 Tamworth Songwriters Association Alternative Blues Song of the Year and highly commended in the 2017 Queensland Music Awards again in the Blues and Roots Category.

“It’s got a chorus that stands out big time, seriously good stuff.”
– Declan Byrne, Triple J Home and Hosed on 'People Get Ready'

“Love the layers to this. It’s equal parts melodic and percussive. Gorgeous”
  – Gemma Pike, Triple J Assistant Music Director on 'People Get Ready'

“A cracker of a debut album…With superbly crafted songs sung with heart and soul, it’s not hard to see why she is one of the great hidden treasures in the music scene today…probably not for long”
– 98.9FM on Emma Bosworth’s debut album, “Coming Up For Air”
