They have performed at festivals such as Dashville Skyline, BMUP, Nimbin Roots, Butter Factory Blues and Roots, Sydney Blues & Roots, Newcastle Blues & Roots, Friends & Relatives as well as at their own flagship event, CORNFEST! In January 2024 the band played their biggest show to date at Tamworth Country Music with over 300 tickets sold.
The band has recently finished a 4 song EP which will be coupled with a touring Cornfest event in March/April 2024 stretching from Newcastle to Brisbane. The first song from the EP, ‘The Junction’ will be released in late Feb with help from Stuart Coupe (Laughing Outlaw)
Originally forming from childhood friendships, Good Corn Liquor would play well over 500 shows between 2011 - 2015 all across Australia, including tours of NSW, QLD, NT and SA whilst also recording and releasing 2 studio EPs.
In 2015, while on tour, the band was involved in a head on collision which took the life of their lead singer, Stu McKenzie and seriously injured other members of the band. From here on out the boys settled into recovery ensuring that they could, one day, return to the stage like old times.
Returning in 2021 to a sold-out show at The Stag & Hunter in Newcastle, the bands rebirth had commenced and has been climbing since. Good Corn Liquor has performed with and shared the stage with some of Australia's finest including; Tex Perkins, Dog Trumpet, The Snowdroppers, Andy Golledge, Dragon, Shane Nicholson, Adam Eckersley and Kingswood.
Good Corn Liquor's love for music and passion for playing is infectious, entertaining, and heartfelt and will always leave you wanting more!
