Jess Crossman is an Australian singer-songwriter known for her heartfelt blend of country, pop, and indie music. Jess has been captivating audiences since she was 11 years old. Her music is characterized by honest storytelling, catchy melodies, and a distinctive style that reflects her diverse influences and passion for songwriting.
Growing up, Jess developed a love for storytelling through song early on. Influenced by artists starting from Missy Higgins and now Ella Langley, she strives to craft lyrics that resonate with listeners on a personal level as well as help them let their hair down to her upbeat chorus’s.
She released her debut single, “Missed Calls," in 2020, which has garnered over 16,000 listens, marking her emergence as a compelling voice in the scene. Her most recent single, "Heartbreak Wagon," was released in June 2025, further demonstrating her growth as an artist and proving her diversity in her songwriting.
Jess has shared the stage with legendary acts such as The Beach Boys during their Australian tour. She has also played on the same stages for well-known Australian artists including Daryl Braithwaite, Sneaky Sound System, The Potbelleez, and Killing Heidi. Additionally, she has had the opportunity to open for Hayley Jensen, 19Twenty, and Adalita from Magic Dirt.
In 2023, Jess reached the Top 50 in Australian Idol, further cementing her presence in the local music scene. She has made festival appearances at the Man From Snowy River Bush Festival and Tumbafest, however, went on her first tour in the Songbirds Sessions project with Music NSW allowing her to play in various locations in rural NSW.
To kick off the year of 2026, Jess was one of the top 10 finalists in the Toyota Star Maker compeition at the Tamworth Country Music Festival which has boosted her following and opened her up to a wider audience.
