Joss Walsh is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from the Southern Highlands of NSW, blending traditional and contemporary country influences with heartfelt, story-driven songwriting. Known for her raw honesty and emotional delivery, Joss’s music is deeply rooted in personal experience, exploring themes of growth, resilience and connection. Her powerful, expressive voice and authentic lyricism allow her to connect naturally with audiences in both intimate and large-scale settings.
Beginning her musical journey as a vocalist at a young age, Joss picked up the guitar at just 10 years old and quickly developed her craft as a songwriter. Her music reflects life’s triumphs and challenges, offering listeners a genuine and relatable perspective. Alongside her original material, Joss thoughtfully reinterprets country and pop-influenced songs, shaping them through her own distinctive sound.
Joss is a proud graduate of the CMAA Academy of Country Music Junior Class of 2024 and 2025. At the 2026 Tamworth Country Music Festival Joss was invited to participate in Songwriters in the Round sessions at Tamworth Services Club and the Post Office Hotel — an experience she loved for the closeness it created — sharing her stories in an intimate setting and forming genuine connections through song. During the 2026 festival Joss performed on the Toyota Fanzone stage, Hissy Fits Street Party Stage, Atrium Festival Stage, Riverside Stage and the Toyota Tailgate stage.
Joss is a Highland FM 107.1 Homegrown Artist and a student of the Wingecarribee Vocal Muster Program, both of which support her strong connection to her local music community. She has performed at numerous venues, festivals, showcases and community events throughout the Southern Highlands and beyond.
Currently in the recording studio, Joss is preparing to release her original music in early 2026. With a growing body of work and a clear artistic identity, Joss Walsh continues to establish herself as a thoughtful and emerging voice in Australian country music.
