Kelly Brouhaha

Kelly Brouhaha is an Award Winning Australian singer-songwriter whose powerful voice moves effortlessly between folk, country, blues and soul. Often compared to artists such as Eva Cassidy and Linda Ronstadt, her music is deeply human—raw, heartfelt and rooted in storytelling.

Her music carries the warmth of campfire conversations and the ache of long country roads. Whether whispering through an intimate folk ballad or soaring into a soulful anthem, Kelly creates songs that invite listeners to pause, feel deeply and find comfort in the reminder that they are not alone.

Buying a battered 1992 Toyota Hiace she affectionately named "Pamela Vanderson," Kelly spent her early career crisscrossing Australia's back roads, playing anywhere that would have her. Those years on the road—equal parts adventure, hard work and persistence—cemented her reputation as a festival favourite while shaping the deeply human storytelling that would become her trademark. 

As her career expanded, Kelly found herself working not only as a touring artist but across almost every corner of the Australian music industry. Away from the stage, she worked as a publicist, artist manager, music business consultant and educator. She lectured for MusicSA, MusicNSW and Griffith University, worked alongside artists including Beccy Cole, Ash Grunwald and Alex Lloyd, and now coaches independent musicians to build sustainable careers by growing audiences and creating income beyond streaming. 

Kelly has built a fiercely loyal fanbase drawn to the honesty of her songwriting and the emotional depth of her performances. More recently, she was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), a debilitating neurological condition linked to Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD). The condition brought seizures, movement difficulties and significant neurological symptoms mimicking stroke, forcing her to step away from touring and live performance. Much of the past two years has been spent in rehabilitation, slowly rebuilding the ability to write, sing and play guitar again—this time from the quiet safety of home.

Today, Kelly continues to write, record and mentor from her home studio, with Willy the miniature dachshund never far from her side. While the stage may look different these days, her commitment to honest storytelling remains unchanged. Through every song and every conversation, she continues to create work that invites people to slow down, feel deeply and reconnect with themselves.
