Bright, colourful, and brilliant, Lucy Gallant has crafted her own genre she lovingly refers to as bohemian folk-pop. Anchored in folk roots and enriched with soul, reggae and tropical world influences, her sound is fiercely original, experimental and avant-garde. The Australian songstress has been hailed as one of the most captivating independent artists on the global touring circuit.
Drawing from her Burmese, Russian, Irish, English and Australian roots, Lucy creates genre-blending music with conscious lyrics that resonate deeply. A true one-woman powerhouse, she simultaneously sings while playing guitar, foot percussion, Cajón and chimes, creating a huge energetic sound entirely on her own.
Her voice is soulful yet ethereal, filled with jazzy undertones and an emotional range that effortlessly moves from intimate vulnerability to soaring power. Her performances are magnetic, immersive and deeply heartfelt, often inspiring audiences to sing, dance and connect with each other.
Having toured extensively through the USA, South and Central America, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Europe, Lucy has dazzled audiences at intimate venues and major festivals alike, including Glastonbury Festival (UK), Beautiful Days Festival (UK), Art Basel (US), Splendour in the Grass, Woodford Folk Festival and Byron Bay Bluesfest.
Completely independent and without management, Lucy continues to single-handedly orchestrate sold out tours across Australia, New Zealand and Europe through sheer determination, grassroots connection and a fiercely DIY spirit. With over 100,000 loyal followers across social media, she has built a devoted global community around her music and message.
Alongside her touring career, Lucy has also been creating her own sold out “Love Bubble Tribe” gatherings across Australia. These unique alcohol-free events combine live music, conscious community, connection, dancing and immersive listening experiences, all designed to bring people together in a more meaningful and uplifting way.
Lucy’s nomadic spirit led her onto the road in her early teens, beginning with hitchhiking adventures across Australia before evolving into a journey through more than 50 countries. She has traveled on horseback through Brazil, camped with Bedouin tribes in Egypt and stayed with families on Native reservations. These experiences deeply shaped her worldly musical style and free-spirited perspective on life.
After tragically losing both parents just six months apart during the global pandemic, Lucy transformed her grief into creativity, writing deeply emotional songs that continue to touch audiences around the world. Her song “Heaven,” released on her Flowers EP, regularly moves audiences to tears and showcases her extraordinary ability to channel raw emotion into music.
To help heal her heart, Lucy adopted a Chihuahua puppy named Lola, who has since become an adored part of her touring life. Together they have completed multiple Australian tours, with Lola charming audiences everywhere she goes and becoming a much-loved part of the Love Bubble community.
A prolific songwriter, Lucy has written over 1,000 songs since childhood.
Her mission is simple yet powerful: to uplift, inspire and bring people together through music. Lucy describes the atmosphere at her shows as a “love bubble” — a space where people can feel free, connected and truly themselves.
“I've met many kind people from around the world, which has given me much more faith in humanity and positive change,” Lucy shares. “With my music, I want to inspire people to remember who they truly are underneath all the pressure and expectations. We are all individually beautiful and unique, and when you truly allow yourself to just be yourself, that’s when you become free.”
