Born from the bones of a dying hometown rock scene in Brisbane, SPEIRA (pron. Spy-Ra) is a no-frills female-fronted alternative rock band, attempting resuscitation.
All volume and fuzz, with a front woman who cuts straight through all the noise, SPEIRA’s sound is a unique mix of raw rock, alternative energy, a vein of blues and a hint of pop.
Together, they’re not chasing whatever’s trending - they’re creating it.
In their first year of operation, they’ve proved their constant hard work is paying off with a cameo in an upcoming Hollywood film, a record deal with Yama Nui, collaborations with Grammy-award Winning Mixing Engineer Nick Didia and ARIA Award Winning Producer Paulie Bromley, playing for sold-out rooms, festival slots, opening for nationally recognised names, a BIGSOUND showcase slot, and a debut album on the way.
Known city-wide for their explosive live shows, the band have forged themselves as one of Brisbane’s vital emerging forces. Blending a fiery live presence, raw and honest music, a burning passion that can’t be snuffed, and ‘the peoples’ story to tell, SPEIRA is creating a generational movement right on your doorstep.
Right now you can say you found them early. That won't last.
