Stellar Moon (Monique Le Lievre) is a proud
Nyikina Jarndoo (woman) from the Kimberley, based in Broome, creating a bold
and magnetic fusion of soul, funk, roots and blues. Known for her commanding
stage presence and raw, emotive vocals, Stellar Moon delivers performances that
move between high-energy groove and stripped-back vulnerability, always
grounded in storytelling, culture, and connection to Country.
Her music speaks to liberation, breaking inherited
patterns, awakening self-awareness, and returning to cultural truth, identity
and healing. Through deeply personal and culturally anchored songwriting, she
creates space for audiences to feel, reflect, and reconnect.
Stellar Moon is currently in the studio developing new
work following the momentum of her latest release, “Dark Night,” which gained
significant national attention. The single was featured in RTRFM’s Top 5 most
played songs and charted on AMRAP for six weeks, peaking at #6 nationally and
#3 regionally, marking a breakthrough moment in her career.
She has toured extensively across WA and performed at
major festivals including Nannup Music Festival, Blues at Bridgetown, and the
Ord Valley Muster, alongside high-profile supports such as Christine Anu, The
Waifs, Lee Kernaghan and Darryl Braithwaite. Her recent South West tour further
strengthened her reputation as a compelling live act with growing national
reach.
Beyond performance, Stellar Moon offers cultural and
creative workshops including vocal work, songwriting, and sound-based healing
practices, making her a versatile and impactful addition to festival
programming.
