About

Tullara has been making her mark across the Australian music industry since her debut release 'Better Hold On' in 2016.  Winning  "BEST EP" at the 2017 'Australian Roots Music Awards', Tullara has since racked up performances at some of Australia’s largest and most respected music festivals including: Woodford Folk Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival, Mullum Music Festival, and Bendigo Blues & Roots Festival, just to name a few.

In 2017 alone, Tullara played 140 shows across the country including support slots for International Artists 'Wallis Bird' and 'The East Pointers', as well as Aussie Folk legends 'The Waifs', 'Jeff Lang', 'Troy Cassar-Daley', & 'Mia Dyson'.
With her percussive finger tapping, guitar playing wizardry, not to mention the alluring power of her voice, Tullara has an undeniable, uniquely endearing stage presence of full of raw, powerful honesty, and swagger. Along with her all female, dynamic trio, this northern NSW homegrown artist is taking the genre of Folk/Roots to a whole new level.

Though still young, Tullara has encountered great success and great tragedy, and these experiences have transformed into the songs that make up her debut EP. Released November 2016, 'Better Hold On', explores honest and universal emotions through the intricacy of her guitar and the strength of her voice. The lead single and music video 'Too Many' earned her Triple J Unearthed Spotlight Artist of the week, won the attention and praise of John Butler, landed her a supporting spot on internationally acclaimed artist Wallis Bird's Australian tour, and sees her featured in many of Australia's leading festivals. 'Better Hold On' was recorded in Melbourne by premier female producer and international touring artist Aurora Jane. It is an exciting taste of what's to come from this young artist.

Tullara has a way with words and a way with that guitar. She's a gifted artist just at the beginning of what looks to be a promising adventure ahead.” - ARIA Award winning artist John Butler

"Tullara has a true magic, I'm not joking. When she plays with all her spirit I'm drawn to tears- every fucking time! Excellent woman, excellent guitarist, excellent voice, excellent song writer, excellent hair- what an asshole!” - Irish and German award winning international artist Wallis Bird
