Wor Je Osu is an annual multidisciplinary festival celebrating the vibrant cultural legacy and creative spirit of Osu, one of Ghana’s most historic and influential communities. Founded in 2024 by acclaimed Ghanaian musician and cultural advocate Sean Taylor, the festival was created to spotlight Osu’s profound contributions to Ghana’s national identity, both past and present.
The festival takes place every year in the weeks leading up to the Homowo Festival of the Ga people, paying homage to Osu’s deep roots in resistance, storytelling, and cultural pride. "Wor Je Osu", which loosely translates as “We are from Osu”, is a bold affirmation of identity, unity, and shared heritage.
Through a dynamic blend of music, visual art, fashion, dance, theatre, film, workshops, and community storytelling, the festival invites both locals and international visitors to immerse themselves in the living soul of Osu.
