LATEST RELEASE:
“Here comes the crescendo.” Gold-Coast alt-pop artist ALBII
is adding a new layer to her growing alt-pop discography as she steps boldly into her girly pop era with the release of her fun new single I Got A Crush, the artist’s third single release since February. Out August 15, 2025, the track marks another confident step in a breakout year for the emerging songwriter and performer.
Following the success of Heart Attack and Hold On (Psycho), ALBII trades dark pop drama for an upbeat, playful anthem that’s destined for your next party playlist. I Got A Crush is a cheeky, high‐energy track about falling head over heels... ‘for a girl in a movie’. It’s the soundtrack to your most delulu daydreams, complete with flirty lyrics, a sticky‐sweet hook, and just the right touch of emotional chaos. Equal parts ridiculous and relatable, it’s for anyone who’s ever mapped out a fake relationship with someone who doesn’t even exist. No judgement... we’ve all been there.

Gold Coast alt-pop artist ALBII isn’t afraid to get a little weird – on stage or off. At 25 years old (and with a mischievous grin almost perpetually on her face), ALBII likes to say that if “dreamy pop had an affair with the grim reaper,” you’d get something close to her sound. It’s not just a cheeky tagline. Her music backs it up, blending bubblegum-sweet pop hooks with a dark, playful twist. One minute she’s serenading you with a “sticky-sweet” crush anthem, the next she’s cackling through a tongue-in-cheek banger about psycho exes. And through it all, she’s dead-set on doing things her way – no major label, no apologies, and absolutely no fear.

“Hold On (Psycho)” is as fun as it is chaotic, navigating the hilariously awkward territory of
new love when a (slightly unhinged) ex is still lingering in the shadows. ALBII’s vocals float
over an energetic drum beat, eerie soundscapes, and punchy little adlibs that make you do a
double-take—was that part of the track, or did something just whisper in my ear? The self-
produced track, co-piloted by her uncle Jamie, is a playful yet calculated concoction of
sarcasm, chaos, and cheeky storytelling. The result? A bold and undeniably infectious
anthem that reminds us to hold on through life’s wild moments—and maybe just laugh at the
madness while we’re at it.
"So, now, in remission from her cancer, Hinton has released her debut single, Hold On (Psycho), today (February 7). Describing her music as “if dreamy pop had an affair with the grim reaper”, Hinton - stage name ALBII, after her grandfather’s nickname for her - is embracing her playful side on the track."
"Gold Coast-based alt-pop artist ALBII makes a striking debut with her single, “Hold On (Psycho),” a bold and cheeky anthem exploring the hilariously awkward dynamics of new love and lingering exes. With her distinctive sound, ALBII seamlessly blends infectious energy with a dark, playful twist."
"Now producing music alongside her uncle Jamie – a full-circle moment she describes as “loving every minute” – ALBII has ambitious plans for 2025. Her presence extends beyond music to various social media platforms, particularly Instagram, where she combines artistic content with breast cancer awareness advocacy."
"Through her music and presence, ALBII embodies a powerful message: strength and vulnerability can coexist. "
