It was more then Fifty years back in late October of 71' when legendary singer-songwriter Nick Drake made his final recording session for Island records. It took him just two nights to wrap it up. The result was "Pink Moon", Drakes' farewell gift to a world that was just too sad & harsh to contain a gentle soul such as himself.
Pink Moon is regarded by many as one of the best albums of all time, for it is where Drake brings to perfection his unique style of composition and singing and his truly remarkable technique on the acoustic guitar.
In honor of the late composer, singer songwriter & composer Or Izekson AKA Prophecy Playground is performing a special tribute concert dedicated solely to Drake's masterpiece.
Like many other artists, musicians and music lovers, Izekson was deeply influenced by this rare piece of music. Harnessing his guitar skills he began exploring the album’s unique sound through Drake’s distinctive guitar tuning and playing technique, with the ultimate goal of being able to play the whole masterpiece note for note.
Though Izekson conceived it as a personal project, we soon understood there was truly a high demand for an authentic deliverance of Nick Drake’s repertoire, and took the Pink Moon tribute to the stage. After performing the show in recent years in London, NYC, Berlin, Tokyo and Tel Aviv, we are currently booking again for dates in 25’.
